Explore Tavistock's Heritage
Devon's award-winning market town of Tavistock is an easy 20 minute drive from the Two Bridges Hotel, and it makes for a great day out when you come to stay.
Take it at your own pace, with a wander around the town's fine independent shops and leafy riverside walks by all means - but we can highly recommend that you immerse yourself in some of Tavistock's rich heritage and fascinating stories, with a walking tour under the expert guidance of Tavistock Heritage Trust.
You'll find a full programme of walking tours throughout the year, with a choice of topics including an introduction to the town's heritage, a fascinating insight into Tavistock's rich industrial heritage, and a chance to find out more about the history of Tavistock's railways.
