March 2025 is a very special month for the Two Bridges Hotel and our team, as we celebrate 35 years under the local ownership of Warm Welcome Hotels.
The origins of our iconic Dartmoor hotel can be traced back as far as 1792, when Sir Frances Buller built a coaching inn here on the banks of the West Dart river and named it the Saracen’s Head. In the many years to follow, the hotel grew and prospered, and became the resting place of choice for weary travellers and for those seeking sustenance.
In 1990, the Two Bridges Hotel was aquired by locally-based, family-owned Warm Welcome Hotels, and we have spent 35 happy years offering warm, traditional hospitality in our uniquely beautiful place at the heart of Dartmoor National Park.
We cordially invite you to join us for our Anniversary Celebration Afternoon Tea, served in the atmospheric setting of our award-winning Tors Restaurant. You can look forward to a selection of dainty sandwiches, warm scones with local jam and clotted cream, tempting home-made cakes, and plenty of tea or coffee - with entertainment from our pianist to help set the sense of occasion.
