Come and spend a beautiful, inspiring day painting the wild landscapes of Dartmoor with contemporary British painter and Island Artist Emma Carter Bromfield.
Set here at the beautiful Two Bridges Hotel in the heart of Dartmoor, this special one-day art experience is an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply and immerse yourself in the landscape.
Your studio for the day will be the hotel’s beautiful Fountain Room, with Dartmoor views providing the perfect backdrop for creativity, and where Emma will guide you through her approach to expressive landscape painting in acrylics.
Our inspiration will come from the extraordinary Dartmoor landscape surrounding Two Bridges - the ancient beauty of Wistman’s Wood, the River Dart, open moorland, tors, changing skies and the wild elemental character of the moor. We will walk and sketch, gathering inspiration for an hour in the morning with a short walk to Wistman’s Walk. Alternatively you can stay on hotel grounds where there is boundless inspiration.
Whether you are an experienced painter or have never picked up a brush before, Emma’s relaxed and encouraging approach will help you discover your own expressive way of painting.
Your Art Experience Day

Emma brings more than 30 years of experience as a contemporary British painter to the day, alongside her distinctive Island Artist approach - painting from an instinctive connection with wild places, changing light and the elemental landscape.
This is not about painting perfectly - it is about seeing, feeling and expressing a place through paint.
